About me
My name is Joshua Obeng-Boateng, I am currently 19 years old and I'm an Illustrator from London. Right now I am studying in the University of Reading for a Bachelors Degree in Art, however I also make and sell art on Instagram in my free time.
I would like to describe my work as unique, refreshing, due to the vibrant colours I use and the instantly recognisable style. I would also say, inclusive as I like to include all types of race and culture in my work.
My main focus in all my art is reaching an optimum aesthetic. People try too hard to find the meaning behind a piece without knowing whether or not they're completely wrong. I believe that real art could just be a pretty picture without having a deep explanation or history and that's exactly what the majority of my art is.
